Rebecca Heib was born and raised in Seattle, WA. At age 22, she received Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and began regularly studying the Bible. In 1998, she attended “The Voice of the Martyrs” conference in Irvine, CA. which featured powerful testimonies of missionaries from all over the world…including Pastor Richard Wurmbrand himself! It was at that very moment that the Lord put a desire for missions in Rebecca’s heart.
The main message at the VOM conference was “pray for us!” Being a new believer, Rebecca desired to learn more about prayer and began regularly praying for the persecuted church. This led to a deeper prayer life and a hunger to grow in the Lord.
In September of 2000, Rebecca opened a business in Issaquah, WA…a studio in Gilman Village offering music and dance instruction to children. Running a business taught Rebecca how to trust God in a deeper way and she learned what it truly means to “walk by faith and not by sight.”
In 2018, Rebecca was introduced to Tecate Mission International and the Lord placed on her heart the desire to serve as a missionary there. In 2020, God opened doors for her to return to Tecate and serve for 6-weeks. During this time, Rebecca interviewed with the Tecate Missions Board and was accepted as a full-time missionary.
